pigguy welcome  (welcome)
when Show heifer appears make sure you PM her - she has limi and a variety of other crosses and has been very successful using different bulls - she would give you good info -

Go Doctor Who on the hereford crosses he can be used with caution on heifers and will throw hereford color patterns.  He would work onthe others as well, Alias will work on the others also.  Out of what you mentioned that is what I would go with.

This is probably not what you want to hear, but since you asked what we think, I'm going to tell you what I'd do.

Breeding to a bunch of different bulls rarely works best, even on a really varied group like this. I know that it seems to make sense in that you're trying to match each female with a bull you feel will help her most and you're anxious to try them all, but sometimes that works out and sometimes it doesn't. If you happen to get a whole bunch that doesn't, you haven't gained much but experience from a whole calf crop. Using one or two proven sires will result in better odds of getting good ones, and in a much more consistent and more marketable calf crop. My recommendation would be Who Made Who on the whole bunch - birthweights will be reasonable, and he'll stouten, soften, and pretty them up. He's a changer, and can produce steer prospects and show heifer and replacement female prospects.

Good luck with whatever you decide.

I have to agree w/ DLD on this. I've never found much luck breeding a bunch of heifers to a slew of different bulls. Also some of your bulls not the best choices for heifers.
Go w/ an easy calving Maine like Ali or Money Man or use a Red or Black Angus bull.

Best of luck & glad you posted.

Show Heifer might have some recommendations on what works best w/ those crosses too.

Pigguy,
First you said heifers. I would not under any circumstances use a variety of club bulls NOT recommended for heifers. I had a C Section last year and it was  a heifer. Not a fun thing to perform. Now this year she calved without a hitch.
You are establishing the productive life of the female which you want to use for future of your cow herd. Prolapses and dead calves or heifers will not accomplish this.
My suggestion although you don't like ALI, (I am not a fan of him either), there are calving ease bulls that will give you adequate show calves.
Northern Improvement throws a fancy hairy correct calf. They hit the ground small and are up and running with vigor in no time. That is important. Majors Money Man has given hartmans some high profile sellers and that would be a great choice for some of the females listed. Dr. Who has not calved small for me so, I would not say use him for heifers.
When evaluating these heifers, what was there Birthweight and what is there genetic make up. Study this hard. It will 50% of the equation that you are using to pick your bulls.
Juenau also has some pretty good calves. If you aren't afraid to try Red Angus or Simmi's which might do some of these females some good. Cherokee Canyon Chief Red Angus produced some great ones for WHR in Texas. Dream On of course is all the rage for simmi's and is calving ease. Those females that are harder made and clean fronted would click nice with Dream ON.
I have not used but am interested in the Shorthorn sire, Jake's Proud Jazz. They say he is consitant and is calving ease. Seems like an option for some.
I am not a Charlois person, but Baldridge Fastrack is one Charlois size that is recommeded calving ease. If you want to throw a smoke or two.

Some may not agree. But, I like to get a heifer set up for a productive future. You can't build a herd from dead heifers so why not take the time and do it right the first time. You may sacrifice some things that more establish "popular" club sires offer, but you will have live cows and calves.

I agree w/ Oh B 100%. Just breed for a live calf the first go around. You may be surprised at how they can do.

I dont know exactly the breeding on your heifers here but as far as getting a live calf. If thing I would ask you to do it to buy a clean bull that can keep you making money
at all times. With 12 animals its going be hard to have a 100 % you might get get 80% if your good. But if you dont want to go the bull route, I would like to recomend
KMS Maverick , hes a canadian shorthorn but that has worked very well for us. We have used him on all of our heifer, including those not of shorthorn blood.
With nothing but great results.
Low Birth Weight, Structuly Sound, Good Bone, Fast Gaining calves, that preform well in the show ring and in the pasture.
Be careful a lot of those bulls on top sire might do more damage than good. Go Low Birth Weight, With a Good Calving Ease

KMS Maverick is bred and owned by the Songer Family in Canada. Their website is http://www.luckyspringsfarms.com/ . They have a maternal brother to Maverick named KMS Canasta that is flat out awesome but is not recommended for heifers. Check them out.
