What's the latest news on Turton?

I know he was bad off for a while with a kindney infection of some sort and had to have a blood transfusion. Do they expect him to collect semen in near future (year or so)? Semen was nearly impossible to get this spring. thanks

I asked VeaBea Thomas about a week or two ago.  The bull seems to be recovering; she did not know when he would collect again.

My concern is fertility after such a bad infection.  I have two straws; they are recommending if you have it, use it for flushing or on your best cows.  I'm thinking it might be one of those things you might want to use in IVF if he doesn't ever collect again.

So unfortunate, it's so early in his production career and he has a lot to offer for both producers and show-oriented programs.  I do hope they can get him going again.

We have three ET sons that were born in February that are phenomenal.  They are out of a Cigar daughter who is a full sister to the Zsa Zsa cow.  I would sell two at weaning straight out of the cooperator's pasture if anyone is interested.
