We have about 60 purebred Shorthorn calves coming this spring, and until they show otherwise, each is a potential national champion!  45 years old, and still allowing myself to dream. ;D  In reality we have 60 Shorthorn cows ran as commercials, and hoping for 60 live growthy calves.

This is our very best bred heifer, sired by RTM Top Shelf (dam is Right Time 338 X 6807) and she is due Feb 24th to Bush's Unbelievable (SAV Bismarck son) owned by Reimann Ranches.  Bonus is she ultrasounded safe...with a heifer calf!!  <rock>

The first of my top 3 most exciting matings of 2012 has arrived.  A&T Captain Clara 040 had a 84 pound Eionmor Marquis bull calf last nite.  He is a chunky little stud and looks real promising but he is a dark, dark roan.

I am excited about all of them. It's my Christmas! But the two I'm most excited about is  Bojo bred to a half sister to Habanero and Bojo bred to a full sister to Leroy Brown.

Well, most of ours are on the ground, with the exception of the last two. I'll leave those two out even though I'm looking forward to meeting them...

Top three most anticipated (and now that I have seen them, they're definitely in the top of the group at this point)
1. Longs Shear Pleasure x MF Pink (Reymond x GW Lucky One) and the dam of our top selling bull last year by Manifest. Has a homozygous black and polled purebred baldy heifer calf...
2. TNT Tanker x MF Vanilla Bean (blaze faced SimAngus by 2T22) dam of our top selling heifer last year by "Olie". Has a homozygous black & polled, blaze faced 3/4 blood bull calf.
3. Shear Pleasure x MSR 3266N, a Legacy daughter from Moser's in Kansas and one of my favorite cows. Has a purebred baldy bull

The Tanker heifers look good. Like my Blazin' Hot babies. Had a few more I was pretty excited about...some baldies that didn't turn out to be baldies...a set of twin bulls...just glad they're both doing all right but woulda liked a good heifer out of that mating...And our first three calves by our home grown clean up bull, MF Mason Dixon (Reymond x Legacy)...got three heifers out of three GOOD cows...I'm anxious to see how they grow out.

Looking forward to fall babies by Triple C Singletary, Blazin' Hot and Hooks Titus.

We have had an embryo angus bull calf by commodore of wye out of a new frontier 095 daughter that goes back ext's mother who looks good.  Also have had several good calves with more on the way by our abraham x midas/cunia purebred maine bull.  He looks to be bred right to use on ali & sooner, or both, based cows.

I love the looks of the Shear Pleasure bull, glad you like the calves by him.  I think hes a bull that could be used heavily commercially.  Good looks and good numbered!

Thank you Jamie!  He is about as close to red as you can get and still call him a roan.  White belly, white star and roan up his rear- thats it.  (lol)

Most exciting still due is Monopoly Money x Kadabra.  She had a very nice Monopoly 2 years ago that sold for $4000.  I really like Mono Money.  Had our first two highly anticipated today.  A Monopoly x G.D. (Foreplay son) heifer.  Real nice as far as 6 hours old goes, thick, sufficient bone, born unassisted, active (got out with the other cows and no worse for the wear).  An hour ago we had a Boardwalk x Sim/Angus bull.  Too early to tell on him.  Born unassisted, up in 15 minutes.  Waiting for two Monopoly Money's and another Boardwalk any day.
