Couple of years ago we got out of the heifer business and went all in with steers, I'm a junior this year and we decided to get started on a potential breeding piece for these colored slick cattle down here, long story short we bought this heifer off breeders world in October

Not many people have seen her as we tend to keep the ones we like close to home, an I'm not extremely Charolais savvy on the purebred aspect so I would like to see what y'all think. She will be at ft worth, San Antonio and Houston

To answer the topic question, yes she is worth hauling. I like how her neck comes out the top of the shoulder and how much flank she has for her age and how her lower quarter carries down. Overall I think she is pretty good show heifere, will make a better cow. <rock>

I think you made a really nice purchase! She's stout, straight in her lines and super attractive. She's also got tons of muscle and length. I really like that she doesn't come up in the flank at all. I can't say that I see anything I don't like. Assuming that she's sound and as impressive from the back view, she'd do very well at any purebred or prosect show around here. Good luck with her, keep us updated!

You got to like her for her overall maternal look, straight lines, and muscularity. Super cow prospect, I would love to haul to a show with that in my trailer! Good luck!

Nope! No good for you to haul around! Better just send her up this way!  (lol)

Just messing, a very solid looking breed heifer. I think she will do good things for you!

Firewater X M6 Growler cow. I help Braden and his family and we found this female this fall. Best charolais I have had my hands on period. We need to get actual pictures of her instead of these cell phone pics. Shes moderate and stout! They got shafted at a little weekend show this weekend but when its all said and done theres not many like her that should be able to double as a good show heifer and a great cow! I would kill for a pasture of these. Shes lookin good bub just keep feeding and working hair!

Nice heifer.  If she's sound, handles well, and shows good...head on down the road.  Collect what ribbons, buckles and money you can.  Best of luck.

Just from the pictures, in this country she would get further in the ring as a market heifer. For me she looks too masculine to make an ideal cow, but that JMO opinion from 2 pictures. I like the picture of her @ the feed trough better than the other picture. Powerful heifer!!!

thanks to everyone who has commented, i appreciate all the feed back and it looks like we wearnt too far off in left field after-all! i honestly think alot of you old school maternal type guys would grin when you saw her stride out, my dad is one of those guys who would ship one straight to the promised land if she was unsound, that i can tell you for sure

anyone else with any comments or suggestions/oppinions please please feel free to speak it!

thanks again to everyone who has posted

She is a pretty good package.  I agree that I like her more in the feed trough photo than in the other 2.  I can definately see where Freddy looks at these photos and thinks she is a little tightly wound, looking at the photos I would worry about her covering her tracks. But I havent seen her walk and I know what sticklers your family is for soundness so untill I see her in person I am going to assume she is good there if you say she is. Getting really picky I would also say she may be just a tad much in the shoulders, and while I think she is broody as all get out, she isnt the most refined and feminine one I have ever seen.
She reminds me a lot of the Chi heifer i found for a family from Doonan last yr.  She looks powerful enough to easily walk into the market heifer ring somewhere and dominate, but at the same time she isnt so powerful and steery that she cant make it in the heifer ring in my opinion.  What I think you will see is this, some judges will love her, some will hate her, and some flat wont know what to do with her.  I think it all depends on who has the say at the show that day as to how she is going to do in the ring.  But if your goal was to buy something that could produce a hell of a smokey steer for you then I dont think there was a better choice out there.
As Kevin said, keep working hair, with enough hair to work with then you can hide some of the issues that we have mentioned.  And as others have said and I always say.  Be happy knowing that you have a good one, that you like, and that ultimately is great for what you wanted to do which is produce those great smokey crosses.  Beyond that do the best job you can walk in the ring knowing that you laid it all on the line and there is nothing more that you could of done, and then walk out of that ring with a smile on your face knowing that you did your part and she was as good as she could be, beyond that its just one mans opinion on that day buddy!!!
