I like that steer, there was a reason he was on the cover of Lautners catalog two years in a row. Once with Kayla Morrow at the Missouri AGR and once with Baylor Bonham at the American Royal.
I was wanting to pick your alls brains about the Griswald bull GCC ECC Dubai 56s. I wanted to know about his calving and how the calves grow. Also how you think to breed him.

The biggest problem is the TH carriers...this heifer hasn't been checked but I'm sure she will probably be a carrier...so trying to find the right bull to carry on the bigger shouter look she has might be a worry. I do like the Char crossing ideas and the shorty's the will work of some breed class.
What are you guys breeding these monopoly heifers to? We used Flying B Cut Above "Fat Butt" for the first calf but didn't know what some guys are choosing for second calves and later on..?

We do the same dry is definitely the way to go i think it works much better for the gut and thickness winning fill or a good hay liage/silage along if beet pulp is in our ration.
We have 2 heifers born around the end of October and beginning of November they have not been weaned yet but we can still gt pictures. pm me if you are interested
How do most of you guys out there add more guts and substance to a calf... This is something we have had trouble getting in our steers/heifers over the years.
