    Show Halters - Maintenance

    We oil ours up with Neatsfoot oil and we have a coat rack inside the back door of the house that we hang them on.  Show Box always gets humidity and they will mildew. Too expensive to let them rot!

    1st, water the same way you do at home.  If you water in a tank, take the tank to show.  If you are going to bucket water, use the bucket at home. 2nd, let water at show set at least 12 hours before you use it.  This lets chlorine from treated water escape, reduces smell and taste.  We run...

    Melatonin?

    Melatonin is all natural no worries about a drug test from it.  Stierwalt got us started using it back a couple years ago.  The key is you HAVE to get it in their system.  We start w/ 100 mg/ day 7 days before show in the feed.  Have went as high as 200 mg on show day.  Never had one get droopy...
