What do the Sundance Kid calves look like as a sire group?  Frame, depth, width, structure, udder, hair?

How about Eligson Amigo

Yes, a bull I have seen in their catalog, but do not like the picture of his dam's udder, nor the depth of neck of progeny listed and hair quality.  Willing to give up some epd's for some other details.  Also like the smaller frame listed for RED IRON.

Looking for  moderate framed red simmental bull with power that still has acceptable birth wt and CE epd's, ok milk numbers and decent growth and carcass numbers and solid phenotype to cross with red angus to make f1's.  Any bulls I need to be evaluating?

Thanks Stu,  We really like her.  Not your typical red angus.  Unique pedigree and awesome phenotype.  Has a bull calf at side now.  Are you making it to the Kansas field day next weekend? 

Thanks for the positive comments.  Most of our purebred females are just getting into production this year or next year.  We shouldl have some embryo calves this fall out of Miss Piggy and R017 and Jackhammer.  The Wide Load calves are really something special and if you ever are in the area and...

Dam is black strip faced son of Meyer son 3d out of half blood charolais cow.  Whale assed with perfect udder. Big boned, deep ribbed, soft, milks like a holstein and doesn't miss.  Captain Morgan calves are stout.  Should be some at Denver, look them up.  Will make awesome clubby mommas.

25 solid red heifers, March/April 2009 born, most are 1/8-1/4 simmy.  Synchronized and A.I. to Conquest for late Feb/March calves.  Cleaned up with 66 lb. bull from JK cattle co. Located 40 mile east of Wichita, KS. Preg checked and all but 3 should be close to A.I. date per vet. Asking $1300

Also saw at stud and would agree that is plenty straight.  Is pretty cool looking though but could be softened up in his overall look and structure.

Have to agree with cowman on this.  Excellent calving ease but disappointed with the end result.  Calves are too narrow, too shallow, too light boned.  Most have nice profile and have seen some with a little more beef to them but mostly out of outstanding females.  Would not use him unless just...
