MN State Fair a no adhesive show???

Looks like its time to bring back the glycerin bars for boning legs.  Sorry if I'm aging myself but if you hire an old timer like myself, it may give you a huge advantage!

The resurrection of the 1980's simmentals

We used Galant back in the 70's and had really good luck. Had 3 steers out of him and our shorthorn cows that were all class winners at our state fair. I tried to find an old picture of him recently and have failed miserably. I know we got the semen from New Breeds Industries out of Manhattan...

    silent knight?

This is an awesome bull!  For the bonework and foot size, one of the soundest I've seen.

whats the knock on my turn's calves???

Ditto that.  We've got 3 of them out of Maine cross cows and they're the best calves we've had in quite some time.  Can't wait to see how they develop.

Afterhours - new Irish Whiskey son from SCF

Agreed.  Love his soft look and a very maternal pedigree.  Daughters should make great cows.

    Silent Knight

Saw him in Denver and my first reaction was the same opinion I had each time we went by and studied him.  I love his structure, softness, stoutness and foot size.  Sure, maybe he is a tick common fronted, however, with the different pedigree and his soundness, we have some cows we'd like to try...

    TOO MUCH PROTEIN ??

Thanks Lucky P.  A few years ago, our state fair had an incident where the champion steer tested positive for this drug and the exhibitor forfeited the $56,000 that they sold the steer for and it gave the showsteer industry in our area a very black eye that has yet to heal.
