Anybody else that starting Monday that there sales are only going to be open for 2 hours? I don't like it, what does everyone else think?

Was told by a dairy guy that some IVF eggs can be thawed like a conventional egg. Anyone know if this is true or not? Our local vet will put conventional in but not IVF because of the thawing process

i have a steer that foundered. My question is will it change the taste of the meat? He wasn't a show steer just a feedlot steer. Thanks

For the people who have put in embryos. Do you get better conceptions with recip cows with right side cl's or left side cl's?  We seem to get a lot of cows with right side cl's but get very few of them to stick to an egg. Is this common or just one of those weird unexplainable things?

We have been buying bred heifers to build our herd. Some times they turn out well and sometimes they don't. Have been thinking that buying older cows 4 to 6 years old may be a better way to go. What is every ones opinion or personal experiences? Thanks

There has been a lot of talk lately on pelvic measurements.  When do people normally do it? Weaning? Yearling?  What are acceptable measurements? At what point is to small and at what point is to big?

We started to give our calves alpha 7 last year and seemed to work really well, but now I went to order it for this years calves and it is back ordered thru valley vet.  My vet doesn't carry it they are stuck on using vision products.  What are other people using to replace Alpha 7?  My vet says...

I tried ordering I-80 through ABS and my dealer said they didn't have any because ABS tested the semen and it showed that I80 has lepto they sent all of there semen back to the Lautner's.  Be prepared to Spirovac all of your cows if you have I80 calves is what I was told by my vet.
