    Westfall Voyager V.S. BRM Explorer

She is a PB simmy. Her mother is a Steel Force that we bought at Louisville from Happy 6 Simmentals http://highcountrycattle.com/donors/cajselegantforce.html

    Westfall Voyager V.S. BRM Explorer

If you are looking at using Top Gun, watch out for the fertility in these cattle, especially testicle size on the bulls. He has been used heavy in Canada and this seems to be a common theme. Really good cattle though. As for Explorer, we have only 1 heifer out of him. She is super quiet and...

    Exciting Times at Agribition

The cow did not die from natural causes. Although it will never be published, the cow was pumped and from a lack of knowledge or carelessness they killed her. I think this is fair punishment. And their name will always be tarnished now anyways

    Power Drive Clone ?

We have been using power drive and joker on all of our cattle for a somewhat outcross calf. We have a great set of 1st calf heifers out of them right now

    Exciting Times at Agribition

The results are in and the only thing that has been heard is that it was not a virus (obviously) and also that the cow did not drown.

    Exciting Times at Agribition

The cow was shown, and the judged commented on her not looking healthy in her class. She died minutes after the class was over.

Royal Melbourne Show and the Simmental World Congress

My family is over there right now. They went for the show, and stayed to do some touring and visiting afterward. We had sold a group of black embryo's to Australia a few years ago. The first group of bulls sold this summer, and one was at the show. Sounds like it was a great show regardless of...

What state or breeder has the best or most Red Angus Cattle

From what Justin and Roger have said it sounds like they are just getting to big and had to make some decisions about where the farm is going to go. They will still have all of their black angus, so well over 200 cows.

What do you think of this Red Angus herd sire?

Detour's mother may look good in that picture, but when her udder is not played with and right milked out it is not a pretty sight. It has just gotten worse the older the cow gets.

    Starting a U-Fit contest

At most of your breed and 4-H shows we do fitting competitions. They are always teams. Most times teams of 2, or 3 just depending on the number of kids. The younger ages are given 15 mins with the older kids given 20 mins. They are judged on how the animal looks going into the chutes, how they...

    Calgary Stampede Carcass results

The reason the Speckle Parks and Murray Grey's do so well in the Calgary Carcass competition is because of the grid that they are judged on. It is not the standard grid that the rest of the cattle killed are graded on. Anything that has a large rib eye is docked extremely hard. Definitely not...
