Before it gets started I thought it would be fun to do some football picks. National champion is the name of the game. Pick the winner, who plays and the score for a tiebreaker.

I'm a Ohio State guy but my pick doesn't count. I'm saying USC beats LSU 34 30.

Mr Right is the sure of JT Morelands herd sire TG/RRA Complete. Good luck! This thread is the official scorecard. If two picks are the same, the first poster wins!

You have to have at least one SEC team.  LSU and Alabama are the obvious picks but I think Arkansas and Georgia have a schedule that sets up well for one of them to surpise people this year.  Arkansas plays LSU and Alabama in Arkansas this year.  Georgia doesn't have to play LSU or Alabama until SEC Championship game.  After those teams I would think USC and a team out of the Big 12 would have a good chance to play for the title game.  I think the teams in the Big 12 will beat up on each other and knock themselves out of the title game.  My pick is going to go against the norm.  USC (38) vs Arkansas (31).

Look at Jason going no SEC team! I have to say USC-Bama, with USC pulling a tough one 38-24

Yeah, definitely not a safe pick or probably a smart one, just going with the gut.

I just don't see OU being anywhere near the national championship game this year. They have had several injuries to their offensive line, I believe only 1 returning starter now. Their wide reciever corps is just awful, and Landry Jones did not have a single touchdown pass after Broyes went down last year which i believe spanned 3 games. I bet they lose 3 maybe 4 games.

USC is extremely thin, no depth whatsoever, but also has arguably the best talent in the nation. I just don't know if they can beat Oregon twice.

I like LSU, but their schedule is just horrific. Alabama lost several key players and has a new offensive coordinator.

All of that said... I have no idea...
