Yep, I can't wait! I'd better try and get myself organised!
By the way, it would be great if you could put on some warm weather this time round  ;D

Well my song of the day September 14 2011 might remind you of the dangers you went through when you last visited our fair country Canada. Luckily you tend to visit when all rivers are frozen  <beer> ;D ;)

Hehe, yes it's a dangerous country!

Here's a contemporary version of one of our national songs:

And to get in the mood... this is a normal Aussie Christmas  ;D ;)

I haven't heard this song in awhile, but there is a country song called " I'm so miserable without you that it is almost like you were here"  Actually wasn't a bad song and it made me laugh every time I heard it. Right now I can'tr remember who recorded it.

Is there someplace I can download the Kansas State Band playing the Wallbash Cannonball fight song deal?

My favorite song of the day is "Like Jesus Does" by Eric Church.  Great tune, check it out.

All-time favorites though include:

Max Stalling "Scars & Souveniers",
pretty much anything by the Great Divide,
Ragweed's "17",
Jason Boland's "Somewhere Down in Texas",
Jerry Jeff's "Keep Texas Beautiful" and The Pickup Song,
Reckless Kelly's "Snowfall"
Robert Earl Keen's whole musical library.....
pretty much anything by Don Williams....

Thanks jlingle. I bought one. I ran across an interesting tune by eric clapton called white trash. It was off a Civil war albumn called Confederate Tales-White Mansion and Jesse James. Also check out Charlie Daniels narration"Northfield  the Disaster" off that albumn....its hard to get to but I always go to Levon Helm and view all songs on i-tunes...then I can get to it through there.

I dig Shooter Jennings.  I hadn't heard that song before, but I have his first cd.  The guy's good.
