Just a FYI -  the Texas Maine Anjou Assoc. is having a sale on Oct 11th selling Maine/Maine influenced cattle in Athens.  We are looking for more cattle to put in it.  If you are interested post back and I can get you in the contact with the main person. 

Made to KC Saturday morning.  Besides leaving at 9:00 pm and driving all night it was an uneventful trip.  1st time to KC, very nice.  Located in the Texas section of the Miaines will be the first three on left side of the Texas Flag .  The activities start tomorrow will keep all posted.

Heifer had a new calf and it just will not stand and let it suck.  It just kicks and kicks at it.  It has been three or four days now.  I tie her head up and stand there and twist her ear and she will let it suck.  If she is loose will not let it suck and the calf is very aggressive.  Hobbles? ...
