Looks like there are a few that are starting to show up.
VanHorn's in Indiana had a few on their online sale a couple weeks ago that looked pretty good. If I remember correctly I think a couple were on the American Royal Hereford sale last weekend also.
I havent seen any in person yet but a...
We've always got along good with the Laramie calves. Mason and hometown calves for us have been average. There is a new son of Mason out this year called Fireball. I've heard he looks pretty good.
I think if I were you I'd look into a Sensation 028x son (2296, Roll tide, Screenshot, Red Bull)...
Saw the Beast at Hawkeye a couple weeks ago. In our opinions he was the most impressive bull there. So massive, sound and big footed yet should still create great females that will milk.
I talked to Barry a while ago about frozen genetics and he told me they would probably sell them in an online deal later this spring. He said that with the amount of live lots there were that he didn't think they would have enough time to sell all the frozen stuff too in the 2 days
I'm not much of a clubby guy but I would maybe try No worries.
We just started playing around in the clubby deal a little bit and I like the looks of him and maybe when they get older try Caught Lookin', kinda like the looks of him a little too.
My vote would be NJW Hometown.
Catapult is a great choice also but I am not sure what the story is on semen availability. Might want to consider Old School (catapult son) that I believe Genex owns.
We are new to the Maine world. We have a Bojo heifer that we are going to be breeding this spring and was wondering on some input about sire choices
Jesse James vs I-67
We have been going back and forth on these 2 bulls for a while. Depends what picture of the bull (I-67) we look at. I have...
We have used both Hometown 10Y and Trust 100W. Hometown is a bit more calving ease in my opinion and have more muscle. Trust calves seem to be deeper bodied and a little more cowy. That is just the results from our cow herd.
We bred heifers to hometown last year and got along really good...
I would use
NJW Trust. They are super deep bodied, good growth and milk really well. The only down fall is they don't offer sexed semen that I am aware of
Advance S109 In my opinion his daughters were the best sire group down at Star Lake. Extremely good udders, and has good growth...
