I got a quote of $430 a ton for the nutribase mixed, with corn, oats, cottonseed hulls, molasses, and a little fat. Does that sound about right.  The ration we had made in the past was usually $50 to $80 a ton cheaper

BH is heterozygous black.  Both parents carried a black and red gene.  In this bulls case he received two red genes, this would happen 25% of the time on this mating. The other 75% would be black, with 25% being homozygous black.

Broker's bw epd ranks him in the bottom 10 percent in the breed with relatively high accuracy. His calving ease ranks him in the bottom 1%. I wouldn't put him on heifers. There are some good ones out there though.

Third of the year. Heads up x dew it right heifer. Cow had a good one last year and looks like another decent one. I'm glad it warmed up a little, but concerned about this ones ears. 10 days early on a really cold day out of the heated barn.
