    Talbert Farms in northern Ohio has around 70 head this Saturday night. He rented Heat Wave #13 last year to run with the cows. Should have some good ones.

    The steers are put on Cattle Blaster at 500lb. with top dressing Apex supplied by Umbarger (4-5 lbs per hd per day) with helps expand the gut to take on more feed. Now on the shorter stocky calves I'll feed them like the heifers as mentioned above with the Apex.

    Have 10 or 12 Maine cows ( some with papers) that have been with a reg 5/8 maine bull who is a Heartbeat x Meyer 734 tested clean in north central Ohio.

    Feeding bailed corn stalks

    Back in 2008 we were short on hay due to drought and round baled corn stalks. With lick tanks full of liquid supplement which I think is $2.00 + a gal. the cows did really good over the winter in northern Ohio.

    I made a mistake of leaving the dry erase stall signs labeled from last years county fair. Now no matter how hard I scub they wont come clean. Wondering if anybody has any idea's.

    Looking for a good show heifer.....

    I have a few heifers to choose from. The best one (my opinion) is a Maveric out of a Lifeline x Heatseeker, others include Debull x Wildcard / Fearthis , Strickly Busines x Draft Pick/Angus and many others out of our herd bulls. Located in north central OH.

    What type of cows would you use Full Flush on? We have a mainly Maine Anjou herd? I have a short stocky Ali x Ice Chest 2yr old in heat today and I'm not sure If I want to use him. She had a great WMW bull on her first round with some assistance.Thanks for your imput.

    My flushes cost me between $1000.00 & $1200.00 - semen. The $'s vary depending on the # of eggs being frozen. I give all the shots myself to save on some of the cost.

    Stiff steer?

    I guess I would need a better discribtion as to your meaning of stiff.  Could be fondered. Ck with your vet but U might want to cut back on his grain. Too much protien.
