    too wild to break ?????

After reading a response on the 2011 Denver bulls topic, i decided i needed to vent a bit.  A bull supposedly did not go to Denver because he wasn't broke well enough.  But he was really good natured. Really ? ?  Over the years the number of stories i have heard or been told about...

This is a late march steer out a ali/friction bull and heatwave cow. He hasn't had a whole lot of time spent on him yet but he seems to be coming along pretty nice. He'll be broke by the time someone wanted to pick him up. I can get a few more pictures if needed...these were just quick snaps...

    steer for sale

This is a steer that we bought late just for fun. We usually show crossbreds and really liked his look for a registered Hereford. My daughter had a ton of fun jackpotting with him. He did really well for age (June 27th) and the judges gave him tons of praise. He was just small too run with...

    Graphics

I have an idea for a t-shirt design. I know there are lots of designers out there but I was wondering if someone on here has the capability or would want to try to make the graphic design for me. I don't think I have enough technical experience to put the design together. After I have the image...

    show box

My brother is a welder and is going to help my girls build their own show boxes.  If anyone has any blueprint ideas, or good ideas at all, we'd appreciate it.  If you've done this yourself, pictures would be great.  Let me know what you think--maybe were crazy.

    Critique on a steer

Haven't done this before but figure if everyone else throws it out there, we'll give it a try.  Reg. Simi weighing about 810...he is a couple of hooftrimmings away from where we want him but ours hurt his shoulder so we're a little behind on that.  Go ahead--tear him apart as some would say.  He...

    sick steer--need expertise, please!

History~ steer came from Kansas and was trailered to Indiana.  Brought to the farm where we bought him from.  Then brought to our house. He has been here just over a month and was doing well.  He came down with a runny nose, and I admit I let it go for about 3 days.  I assumed it was the weather...

    Lbs of feed

We've always followed the feed 2-3% of a steers body weight...someone I know was telling me how much they were feeding their steer and it was way above that ratio... is there any reason to feed way above that--i always assumed you could founder them if you pushed them to hard to fast...I'm not...

Thanks to Red, I just enjoyed a really good book I might not have picked up without a recommendation, so I thought we could put in a good word for some of the books we've enjoyed.  Anyone have a good book I should look for?  Since we've also had a post about Temple G., I'll start with a book...
