Well this is embarrassing, but recently I purchased a shorthorn plus steer out of BAM! and a purebred shorthorn. However, when I look up the sire, BAM!, I can't find anything on him. Does anybody known anything about him? Thanks!

You really should check with the rules at the shows that you are going to to see if paints and dyes are allowed or not first.
