I think Walks Alone would be a better choice than Bodacious. 

I personally like the look of the blue roan Shorthorns, but unfortunately, they do not sell as well as other black cattle at the sell barn.  I actually want one to show this year in the steer or heifer division. 

Probably X-bred steers. 

I would say 1300-1350 lbs. is the appropriate weigh for your state fair.

I agree that Obama could not be office.  He has not done much to help our nation.  Did you watch (10/16/2012) the second Presidential debate?  There was a lot of issues that Romney recognized that Obama did not do well.  Obama lost 5 million jobs but said," a program to put 5 million to work."...

The steer has a nice butt on him.  In addition, he has a good depth to body, not having much flank which is a good thing.  I think the steer will compete at your county fair pretty well.
