    Overdue cow

OH breeder is right.  If you know the AI date for sure and there is no chance its a preg covered by a latter bull she should be checked.  Calf may be backwards, large, so on and so on. its worth the extra time and money to get her checked in my opinion. don

    Lutalyse

Hope I got this right but it is my understanding that if you think she was in standing heat on sat then wait 10 days then give her the shot. Then she should come in within 4 days of giving the shot approx. good luck don

fireplaces and cost of wood ?

we have a wood stove that we burn wood in to offset gas furnace cost. Needless to say I'll be burning a whole lot more next winter with the higher prices.  The price of wood depends upon where you are in the country.  Right around a large city seasoned split oak will sell for alot more than out...

    totally off cattle- diapers

New born swaddlers great but mine wasn't in his long. 1's and 2's we had less blow outs with pampers 3's that is what he wears now and has been in them for a while. Good suggestions above---could possibly skip the newborns and they may get lots of them. 1's they most likey will outgrow these...

We (or I) broke the pitman rod and bent it so welding isn't an option.  My question is does any one have a 24T for parts laying around that would be willing to sell me the pitman rod, bearings, and pins where it attaches to the plunger head.  If so let me know we need...

    Midwestern---Morels...yum...yum

I'd say when the red bud first starts to bloom is a good rule of thumb. I like to start when the may flowers first start to come up. Here in Northern Missouri I've found small greys-as eary as April 8th and larger yellow and whites as late as May 15th. I'm not a die hard hunter and I know that...

Just For Fun: Cute things said by your kids!

My son is almost a year old. Monday night he was in the bath (our kitchen sink) and I went out to work on the garden.  I hear a knocking on the kitchen window and look up to see my son standing up in the sink beating with both hands on the window, soap in his hair, buck naked, and  yelling da...
