southern california is gettin hit wiht the fires pretty bad today... my whole town is under mandatory evacuation and the only highway out of town is in gridlock, and theres too many cattle on our property to fit in the trailer, so my mom and dad are staying, they have a fire hydrant all hooked...

my local fair is switching from hair to slick sheared next year.  so what kind of steer should i be looking for?  does a certain color look better slick sheared?  any comments on this would be much appreciated!!!

what does everyone think of this heifer???  do you think she is worth it to maybe send out to the mid west to show?  i dont know, she seems like a nice heifer to me but there isnt too many brangus cattle in california to compare her too.  any feedback would be great!  (sorry the pic is big...)
