My semen quality seemed ok, we bred 5 fall calvers to him, and got 4 pregnant. Ultrasounded them, 3 bulls, 1 heifer coming.

If I am correct, I do not think there was any Amen semen available for spring 2011 calves. We are expecting a few of them for fall 2011.  I am pretty excited, I love Friction fat steers and the right Friction females make awesome cows, just hope the Amens are a little more fertile than friction...

I saw Simple Man as both a calf at Vansickles and as a yearling at Caldwells.  For a bull that has absolutley no Heatwave, Who Made Who or Full Flush in his pedigree, he is very impressive. He is definitely one that we will be using and that I think will gain momentum over the next few years. JMO

The whole sent went really well. Big crowd.  Thought one of the more interesting matings that sold worth the money were the Sooner x Chetah Girl embryos, think they only brought like 600-700 or something like that.  Those could be neat. Congrats to all the consigners on a good sale.
