If this "health care bill" passes, I hope everyone realizes that "bad food" will be heavily taxed. Probably including candy, soda pop, alcohol, and meat. All will be considered "bad health risk" and since the gov't will be directly involved in PAYING for bad health, they will do everything in their power to make us all "healthy" by THEIR standards.
I just wish I were a bit older, so I would be dead when all this crap takes effect.

Maybe obama's checkbook will be empty and he won't be able to buy enough votes.... I can only hope.

And all of who are busting our butts and sacrificing "luxury" items to actually pay for health insurance, will also be busting our butts to pay for all the low life "I deserve everything without working for it"  people who do not have health insurance. What's not to like??

I still think whatever is passes should be required by the senate and representitives to carry also.  You notice THAT admendment didn't get put on the bill didn't you?
I would say to boot every single one of them out of office, but a strong arguement NOT to: They have all the benefits after just one term. So why would they NOT want to retire with all the benefits they have voted themselves?  I say keep the slime balls in office and at least make them "work" (as if they do anything anyway) for their "pay".

If my insurance rates go down, or if the health care system improves in the next 5 years, I personally will kiss pelosi's and rieds pale worthless a$$es.

octomom just got her own insurance...tax payers subsidize high schools and universities already...if you wnat to help the drop outs...start orgnizing at your local level and share some of your wisdom and opinions  with them....you  might not be able to save them all....but helping just a few of them may  reduce the faliures of  bush's no child left behind..... jbarl

Why coulldn't we had a plan to subsidize health insurance for small businesses to any employee who is full time.  Perio.  Let's see, small buisness has incentive to hire, person on porch has incentive to have job, even minimum wage.  Person on porch don't get nothin for not applying and sittn there....

I just got a warm fuzzy feeling KNOWING that I am going to pay for all those people who would rather buy a big screen TV instead of health insurance to insure they are treated fairly by the medical world. I got another wonderful warm and fuzzy feeling know that I am going to pay for all those who run to the Dr. for every little thing because "they" are not paying for it (buy they do drive a fancy vehicle). What a wonderful warm and fuzzy feeling....

Oh, wait. That was just me puking all over myself..... my mistake....

Dear Mr. President:
During my shift in the Emergency Room last night, I had the pleasure of evaluating a patient whose smile revealed an expensive shiny gold tooth, whose body was adorned with a wide assortment of elaborate and costly tattoos, who wore a very expensive brand of tennis shoes and who chatted on a new cellular telephone equipped with a popular R&B ringtone.
While glancing over her patient chart, I happened to notice that her payer status was listed as "Medicaid"! During my examination of her, the patient informed me that she smokes more than one costly pack of cigarettes every day and somehow still has money to buy pretzels and beer.
And, you and our Congress expect me to pay for this woman's health care? I contend that our nation's "health care crisis" is not the result of a shortage of quality hospitals, doctors or nurses. Rather, it is the result of a "crisis of culture", a culture in which it is perfectly acceptable to spend money on luxuries and vices while refusing to take care of one's self or, heaven forbid, purchase health insurance. It is a culture based in the irresponsible credo that "I can do whatever I want to because someone else will always take care of me".
Once you fix this "culture crisis" that rewards irresponsibility and dependency, you'll be amazed at how quickly our nation's health care difficulties will disappear.
Respectfully,
STARNER JONES, MD

This says it all for me.  I know people that spend money on "luxuries"  like phone that require a $30.00 a month data plan but do not worry about health care because they know that they will get taken care of if they go to the emergency room.

We all need to exercise your right to vote this fall.

as usual, liberals hide behind a failed program of kennedy, but a republican name on it.

the 65 amnesty that "would not change the face of america" was a lie, just like everything out of a liberal's mouth who's only policy is redistribution of wealth from work to wealth for no work.

stupid reagan compromised with kennedy again in 86, and it was another disaster.

we immigrate 700,000/year legally every year.  there is absolutely NO reason to give amnesty to people based on race only.

republicans always get in trouble for compromising their principles.  democrats NEVER compromise so we keep going socialist.

of course, every good liberal hides revenue from under the table revenue and refuses to pay their fair share of taxes, expecting others to pay for their guilt.

our tax dollars have been paying for them for years....thats why some of us pay 10/12 thoudand dollars a year for "our" insurance.....no one seems to mind when the insurance companies/doctors and pharmacutical companies take  all of our tax dollars in subsidies. (but they have graduated from high school,... seems like a high school diploma can give youi all kinds of rights in theminds of the gop  followers)..there are the one with the big screens in there kids room and summer homes....but i guess if your  a high school drop out or a minority, or unemployed, your just not worthy of anything in the minds of some....no one seemed to mind when bush was setting up free medical facalities and health care/subsidized schools/ and jobs programs  for the well educated folks of iraq..... jbarl

they don't take all our taxes and do you pay all yours?

no one is worthy of ANYTHING they can work for.  no one is worthy of anything based on the color of their skin.

your equal outcome policies reveals your contempt for the constitution.

a woman who smokes a pck of cigs a day...and eats pretzels and beer, hasnt been able to get insurance in theis great country for some time....if peoples lifestyles and economic situations distract  you that much ....you should private  practice in washington or hollywood...unless you still have some government subsidized loans to pay off....that says it for me.....jbarl

Mark,

as I have said before, the Republicans and Democrats are both on the same side and it is not ours.  the right/left paradigm is not real.  bush started the war and obama ahs continued it even though he said he would end it.  the elections are rigged by software and machines.  see this:

The racisim will never end.  My job, if your white and a male, your almost screwed.  It's a minority's word or a woman's word against yours, and theirs is gold.  sorry gals, i know this isn't always the case.  But the truth.  I have co-workers who will not come to work on days when set to work with a female or minority.  Their job is at stake if they are accused of anything.  It's not worth  a days pay.  Something is wrong here.    Obama in everthig he has done has befited the unemployed person sitting on the porch not wanting a job.  college tuition, cap and trade, health bill,
