    Unprecedented calves?

I may be mistaken, but isn't Solid Gold a clone of a steer that won a Texas major?

    A few bull pics

I know years ago there were some wild colored cattle at Dick Braham's in Michigan. And I remember a bull from the '80s nicknamed Neon Leon.  I want to say his real name was Rolyn O'Leary?

    Monopoly progeny carcass results?

In theory this is true Librarian, but there are a lot of times where show steers are shrunk to make a show weight.  This can have a drastic result on quality grade. I remember a Who Made Who steer at our county fair that had 7/10th inch back fat and went select.

    Calf with kicking problem...

About thirty years ago I had an Improver steer that was a kicker. He only kicked once or twice a day, but never seemed to miss.  >:(  I finally resorted to putting a nose clip in whenever we were working with him, and gave a little tug whenever he started dancing.  It took the attention away...

    Belt Buckle Cattle

I often wonder about the "optimal" cow size debate.  I believe that nature gives us some clues.  Whitetail deer seem to adapt body size to their environment.  If you see a mature buck in Texas, it is very possible that he is only 120 pounds.  Meanwhile 300 pounds isn't uncommon in Saskatchewan. ...

cloning.......purebred people vs. club calf people

I think that some cloning is done in the purebred herds.  I know Sullivan's have cloned Total Solution and many of their donor cows.

New info on DS from the ASA.

In that case your odds are 50/50.

    Tyranny

I think both sides have a major agenda, and I'm not sure which scares me more, the far left or the far right. One quote that I found particularly alarming from one of the militia spokesmen was "One protester, a former Arizona sheriff named Richard Mack, told Fox News about the militia's plans...

    New Herd Sire "Diezel"

I think it is more the visual effect from the large white area on his flank.

    Shorthorn Sires

It surprises me that Red Alert was that poor on udder quality.  We raised a son out of a Guinness cow who milked like crazy, but had a poor udder.  His daughters all had very nice udders, usually better than the dams.

    Getting steers fat

Just thinking out loud here, but If I calculated it right, you have 160 days to put on 370 pounds.  That only works out to 2.31 pounds adg.  Seems like you should have no problem getting him there.

Heifer Calf with a twisted rear leg?

From what I understand, TH calves always die within a short time (minutes to a couple of hours) after birth.

    performance bulls

It seems to me that if they are weaning 900 plus pound calves, you only need 250 or 300 of these cows, instead of 500 smaller ones. ;)

    pre-heatseeker bulls

Power Plant, New Design, Nero (sire of Sugar Ray)  JJ of Primecut (if you could get them shown, they weren't just a little wild like Sugar Rays, they were plain mean)

    NO PARTNERS BULL

And I look at her a little different.  To me she seems like she is feminine enough, not really sure on her front end, it blends into the other cow.  To me she looks like the type I prefer, rather than the super long necked, which I tend to see as a little harder doing.
