I’ve been in the market for a couple replacement bred cows since I had to cull 2 over the summer. I had one neighbor guy offer me 4 of his cows from his show herd and since my budget is what it is he offered me to put half down and the other half after the first of the year. I like those cows...
I have a 2nd calf shorthorn cow that I put an embryo in last Saturday so she was standing 7 days prior to that. Then yesterday I let the cows into a new pasture but when I went out today to check on them she was being mounted and standing for about 10 seconds. If it's a true heat it's only 15...
The smoke heifer is an early April calf, The black MAB is a mid March, and the Shorthorn plus is a late Feb. While the herford bull looks good I'd really like to be able to have registered calves so I'm looking at chi, maine, and shorthorn bulls.
Breeding season is coming up and I have 3 heifers I would like suggestions on, the first heifer is a Crowd favorite x Cuina Chi-maine, the second is a MAB x Northern Improvement Chi-maine, and the third is a Two tone x Showcase grand v shorthorn. I'd like to be able to register each of the...
Thanks for the replies, I looked up some calving ease bulls and liked Northern Improvement. I saw a new one out called Slider from Trausch who is out of Northern Improvement and looks interesting. Has anybody seen or heard much about him?
I'm not to familiar with those 2, what about them would make you want to use them? Also with the walks alone heifer she is quite a bit shorter in her height than I'd like so would they help improve in that area?

Had a problem and our show steer died, now I need to find another one. I don't care on breed or sex just need one at a reasonable price. I am located in North Central Indiana, feel free to email me at [email protected]
