My favorite bull was smillin bob. I am pretty sure he was a heat wave. My second favorite was (I think his name was thriller .. I will find out tommrow. There was a bull there named "its complcated" the name fits him well. He is at et calf. He recipe cows tag said he was a hairy bear X throttle ( he also calved on his due date) he was DNA tested and he is
not a hairy bear. So they DNa tested him to see if he was a heatwave but he wasn't. So they tried heat seeker not But not a heat seeker. So as of right know he has no sire or dam.

From what i have been told.  He is out of a full throtle cow.  The cow was flushed to hairy bear and heat seeker.  so would be pretty simple to put the wrong tag on the recipe cow when you put in as many embryos as the person does that raised the bull. And if putting in eggs that are out of the same cow but different bulls.
And the last i heard it was 90 some percent positive he was out of heat seeker.  Was also told ever since they have changed DNA testing stations they have been having problems with getting DNA parentage.

I would also make a bet that if all bulls had a DNA parentage we would find out some are not what they were sold or advertised as.

I would like to sell as many promotion bulls and champions as the guy has who raised this bull.

How many different mothers has heat wave had since he was promoted?

I did hear this fall that he was one of the best bulls some people have seen but i have never seen the bull myself so i am not making a claim on what he looks like.

I am just going by what the sign said. They seemed pretty sure the he was neaither of those bulls. There were probialy about 4 or 5 bulls out there that looked exactly the same. They were eaither sired by monopoly or heatwave. Smillin bob really stood out to me because we was a tad bigger framed and he was thicker. Also alot of bulls out there had pretty big shoulders. There was a bull out there aired by northern improvment. This bull was as thick and hairier than most the heatwaves and monopolys. When I look at his sign I could not believe he was sired by northern improvment. I forget what was on the dams side but I remember the owner saying he a 3/4 angus. Jones also had a bulls put there. He was a steel force X miss she's so sweet. He was a blady I really liked him. Vicklands had a bull out there he was an Ali X and out of one of their show heifers from last year I think her name was cwf ms purple.

Didn't make it this year but have talked to a couple of guys out there... They like Thriller as well... What about Trausch's Nasty Habit? I'm hearing he is as good as any out there... They hadn't mentioned Smilin' Bob

I have to agree with those that liked Thiller and the spotted hired man son(forget his name). The part that disapoints me is one would think that if you are there to promote a product, you would let people know everything you could about the product(including when you could see the product). There is alot of arogance when you expect people to wait around to see your bull then take away as soon as you can. I don't know if I was the only one but it gets hard to get excited about a bull when the owner looks down his nose at you or frowns when you take a picture or worse yet has a empty stall most of the day, empty except for the 59 cent tablet he left for you to write down your name and your order because he's to busy.
