THANKS on all the opinions, I am going to cut them I think after reading the posts.

What does everyone think about cutting instead of banding? We usually band cause its hot when we work them, but this year we are working them earlier so it doesn't really matter as far as that goes. I have heard of many people that sell and show steers say that cutting is the only way to go...

My steer has red, looks like dead hair, on him. What do you all do to get rid of this, clip it, dye it, or something?

Well, what are the best calves out of this year. The same old dominate bulls or are the new kids in town making some noise.

Well, I'm sure she would have been, but the calve is out of a heifer and she had know idea where it was. Don't you just love calving heifers.

Allot of the dairies have them here in the US.

Everyday when I rinse, I think of it like this... they get rained on, snowed on, and stand out in the 15 degrees wind all day. I wash sometimes when its 20 degrees, but you don't need to wait around to dry them though, try tp get them dry asap.

I heard somebody say that they put Ali down. What exactly was wrong with him and made him quit giving semen? Is this just a way to get the price up or is it true?

We feed with a hay wagon, therefore allot of the cows over the winter lose their tags,snagging them on the metal. Are there any ear tags out there that won't snag. We've tried the all- flex locking tags but some just pull them all the way out of there ear. Any suggestions.
