in my exerience, waiting 45 days is about as quick as you can reasonable do it with GOOD success.  they should be cycling about that time also.  35 days is moderately successfull.  any earlier and i have not seen much success.

treat the lice specifically.  call your vet, ag teacher or 4h agent.  better yet, go to the feed store or farm center and start reading labels.  that is the best way to learn.
