Obama going back on his campaign promises (Surprise!)

No president keeps 100 percent of their promises.  Let's take a look back at history and false promises.  Take for example George H. Bush's popular comment from several years ago:  "Read My Lips, No New Taxes".

List all time rock songs and all time country song

Although I am not a fan of the Beastie Boys, I will admit that I am also an 80's child.  I remember listening to Duran Duran, The Go-Go's, and Rick Springfield while breaking calves when I was a teenager back in the 80's........lol!

    Can you tip a cow??

Every time I go Snipe Hunting I always end up coming home with an empty bag.  Have not been able to get a snipe to this very day.  What clever creatures, they must always see me coming.  ;D

A question for Doc about one of his Shorties

Hi Doc, I remember you mentioned that you have a daughter of TPS Coronet Leader 21st out of one of your full Irish cows.  Do you have a picture that you could post on here?  I would love to see what this animal looks like.   It sounds like a really neat combination of genetics.  Thanks, SJ

    some more pictures

Hi JIT, Nice set of calves as always! You mentioned the Niam heifer.  I have an interesting story for you.  There was a feller down here in Georgia who use to have a cow that I believe was an ancestor to your Niam females.  The cow was, "Weston Melba Niam" and she was sired by Deerpark...

    Tree Huggers

Hi Jbarl, Looks like you and I are both guilty.  I am a pine tree murderer.  I must have cut down at least 100 victims on my property, However the pine beetles were already killing some of them, and I wonder if these same tree huggers would view me as Dr. Kevorkian......... (lol)

Something for everyone - "showers" and "growers"

Hi Dusty, I hear ya. There's some folks who are still breeding those types of animals.  Plus you've probably noticed in discussions here on SP that a lot of Shorthorn Breeders are going back and using a lot of the older shorthorn genetics on newer shorthorn genetics in order to take advantage...

    Tree Huggers

I wonder if they would cry over the poison ivy and honeysuckle vines that I killed this past Summer after I sprayed Round Up on it? Before you know it, the same nuts will make Round Up illegal and certify it as a WMD.

    Help On Presentation

I hear you on the jokes Zach. I remember back many moons ago when I was in school how I was not the cool kid, because I was involved with cattle.  The jokes were horrible also.

Bulls that looked Good, but never turned em out

Evergreen Seville (Shorthorn Bull from back in the mid/late 80's). Was a syndicated owned bull that was sold for over $100,000.  I remember an ad that said, "The bull of the future that everyone will be talking about".  He came onto the scene around the same time that HS Rodeo Drive did. ...
