    Jungels-Durhams for Denver

Looked at your website.  Best lamb crop we ever had was from an Oxford buck from Richard Gilmore and our hamp ewes.  We took homegrown lamb chops to the National Western this year while we were in the yards.  Pretty darn good.

    Jungels-Durhams for Denver

If you don't prefer to sell breeding stock, then why are you currently breeding stock?  Wouldn't selling at the salebarn be your best bet?

    Jungels-Durhams for Denver

Oh, Brother.....  you mean to say that you must breed your own stock for generations before using some other genetics?  If you really belive that then good luck selling your bucks and ewes since all of your potential customers should only use their own stock in your great opinion.  Your comment...

You do know what "railroad" is, right?  I have some backing to get it done too.  Special interst groups, such as the "S H I T T Y"  Sod House Is Terrific, Tacky, and a "Yes" man are gunning to get you the presidency.

AJ, I heard about your lame excuse to not come, still ain't buying it.  The worst thing we saw was green grass and water in the ponds, bout made me cry.  Haven't had that at our house all summer.  In regard to your opinion and kissing you behind, I would prefer not to, it is much more fun to...

I think that all of you live in the basement with aluminum foil over your heads worrying about the government takeover and shorthorn mafias!    AJ, you really disguested me by not showing up on Saturday, (Billie agreed).  We had a nice time and looked at some really outstanding shorthorn...

What happened to the Shorthorn country topic?

It saddens me to write this but, for goodness sake, y'all need to get out of the box.  If you are a died in the wool, show cattle minded cattle breeder, then for all means, go breed what you can sell.  If you are a died in the wool____fill in the blank____, then go breed what you can sell.  I...

    Duhrams for Denver

We have not stopped selling by the pound at all.  If breeders use "curve bending" bulls for multiple generations, and they retain daughters, then they will have big, growthy calves with big growthly mothers within two generations.  I have some in my herd.  They weigh around 1600#.  I have a...

    Duhrams for Denver

Tucker, I looked at the angus data, WOW.  Those are some high performing bulls and the owners have some good things to offer potential buyers.  Hereford data at the yards was good too.  I didn't look at the Charolais since there wasn't much of an offering to choose from.  Sorry you didn't like...

    Duhrams for Denver

Please remember that most of the bulls that were out in the yards were only 10-11 months old.  The data would suggest that they had ample WDA, scrotal, IMF and BF when compared to groups of other breed bulls that were represented in the yards.  I would be skeptical of a March bull calf that was...

Question about a new sale sight

you need to have the sale where there are a lot of people who want to let go of their money with no regard to return on investment.  I would suggest VEGAS baby.

    New Videos... Denver Pen Cattle

Thanks Tom, I will get their EPD's up tommorow.  Hopefully you can come out to Denver.  If not, will keep you posted on the progress.  The ASA should be getting close to producing the Denver sale catalog, as we're selling a choice of the heifers in the video at the sale.  Once the catalog is...

7026 is out of countess 9101, who is the dam of countess 9302.  you might recoginize her as the cow/calf pair that ASA ran a pic of for years.  She is a foundation cow in our herd.  She produced countess 9041, who is a red cloud daughter.  We will have a bull calf from her at Denver.

We can always use some help.  Going to try to post some pics next week if we can get the calves to cooperate.  I am busy waiting for KSU to play Gonzaga tonight on ESPN2, so wasting time on the computer.  Sue, add JG Red cloud to your list of polled red bulls with low BW's

Aaron, didn't know you got bucked off.  Must have bee trying to throw a loop too far........If you just check the ones that got marked from the bull, it makes for a shorter day.  You better get ready to come to Denver, we are taking a load and they all look really good.  Sommer has been breaking...

You can also buy a chin ball marker and turn a bull out equipped with such for cows on stalks/winter grass.  Collect the painted up cows and send them to town.  Beats palping cows and the bull likes it too.
