We bought a pair of Andis back when the kid was showing pigs.  They worked great for pigs but clipping a calf takes a lot more time and the battery would never last that long.

Great question. Perseverance.  Its one of the things we probably all have, but showing livestock for several years will sure help you build it.  Kind of like a muscle I guess.  Of course anyone who farms or ranches for a living knows it all too well.
