I feel that everyone has the freedom to express or have the right to their opinon. It's one of the things that make the USA a great nation. I have friends that don't agree w/ me on many of my conservative positions but we don't let that get in the way of our friendship!

I will always remember my maternal grandmother. She said that she'd never go to a nursing home unless it was guaranteed to be all Republicans.  ;)

America finally proved that what we have been taught all these years is that any body from any back ground can grow up to be president is true. But history will prove thats not a good thing.

does that include an aborted fetus?

No as you know the new regime says fetuses aren't human until the they are delivered . There fore they are no bodies. ::)

and even if they are delivered, they still aren't.  look up mark singer chair of ethics at princeton or some such place, where he thinks it's ok for up to 2 years old.

No it wasn't the farmers and ranchers it was the large population bases in those state. It was quite clear when it was broke down county by county on the state maps. Unfortunately there might not be enough of us left with rural values to make much a difference any more.

Let peace enter your heart. Look forward and not back. As others have said, join hands as a nation and move forward

forgot to add that the democrats DID NOT do this, and won.  this is poor logic, and only reinforces the decay of one's principles.  not real clear on how the democrats joined hands with bush very often.

daniall pearl might have some insight on this topic.

I can verify McCains service to this country -- you see -- as I was being shoved out the door of the C-130 over Cambodia (Wasn't sposed to even be there yet) at the old age of 18, John was already in the luxury hotel in Hanoi -- having some serious massages done -- they called it THEROPY -- but to those who endured it -- it was simply torture. Unless you can call getting half of your bones broken -- your hands crushed, jaws broke -- etc etc -- a pleasure.

I can only imagine the pain that man went thru -- and he never broke ranks -- he never talked. A TRUE hero. I thought I had it bad while having to stand in mud and water for days looking inconspicuous to the enemy -- I can only say Thank You John !!

I am one worried human tonight -- Obama's money history bothers me some, where did he get SOOOO much money to campaign all this time??? Sure wasn't from the welfare office. Just too darn many things that simply don't add up -- too smooth if you will!

And for those that think this was not at all a race issue -- did you see the great Mr Jackson shedding tears at the party?? Pucker up USA, you might need to stand in the corner looking OUT to the center just in case!

Sorry -- but I am still a Cowboy, and we don't like "Unidentified" change much! Any one know what the mistery CHANGE is gonna be??? I'd lay odds on it -- but not tonight!

Best of luck to every one -- and GOD BLESS US ALL

Terry

I just want to thank you for serving our country! Thanks to everyone on here that has done the same. I am still proud to be an American and always will be, I am just upset that it went this way. At least the popular vote was almost a dead heat.

comments about rudeness, and racism for that matter, need specificity and clarity.

disagreement is not rudeness, unless it's under the new speech codes coming under the unfairness doctrine.

right wing radio equals pornography according to schumer, co-architect of the housing bubble.

Everyone is allowed an opinion, it is in the Constitution.  Being a Republican I am disappointed by last nights result but not surprised.  Hopefully in two years the cycle will continue and the Republican party will win back the House and win more of the Senate seats.  Obama is from my home state of Illinois and I would not be surprised if some of his money came from shady sources.  There is a major corruption case going on in Illinois and the rumor is that Obama MAY be tied to it.  It is just a rumor, but who knows.  :-\

I will share the "water cooler" conversation that the women at my workplace had yesterday.  It is too late now, but I believe it bears some thought and conversation.  The question was...Why do most liberal women absolutely hate Sarah Palin?  Thanks to Oprah and the View, most women in the media detest her and maintain that she was the one that would repeal Roe vs Wade and take us back to the dark ages.  Roll back 20 years ago and the "feminist" croud would have voted for any woman on the ticket just to get a woman in office.

Our little group of educated professionals came to the conclusion that because Sarah Palin had the right to CHOOSE, and she CHOSE to give birth to a Down's Syndrome child, that most of the liberals could not stand that and labeled her as backward.  The right to choose is currently everyone's right, one way or the other.  I know everyone is tired of this, but we really thought our observation was unique.

That is a very good observation regarding Palin.

Women in power still have a difficult time.
