I am in need of some really good prayers right now.  My daughter Shelby, who is 12 years old has had this patch of odd looking skin on the scalp of her head for a while now.  My husband had me convincied that it was a birthmark that we never noticed before so I pretty much ignored it.  About 6  months ago I had taken her into our regular doctor for an allergy infection and he happen to see the thing on her head, he thought it looked like ringworm and he told me to treat it as so.  I treated it with over the counter stuff but it never went away, still I was not overly concerned.  Last week I finally was able to get her into a dermatologist and he looked at it and right away asked if Melanoma runs in my family.  I answered him in a shaky voice with a NO.  He said he is concerned about it because it is bigger than a pencil eraser and it is two shades of color.  We have an appointment with the dermatologist to cut this spot out tomorrow (Tuesday) at 9:30 in the morning, and then they will send it off and get it tested at the lab.   I have been a nervous wreck all weekend long.  I have read on the internet that the worst place to get melanoma is on the scalp, it gets into the lymph nodes quicker and it is not a very good outcome.  PLEASE pray for my angel, she is a great kid and I could not live without her.  Lisa

Speaking from some experience with pediatric cancers, be sure to take it as it comes. Don't worry about the maybes only the certainties. Otherwise you'll have a hard time dealing with the stress. Remember it ain't cancer until the pathology report is back.

But no matter what anyone says it's just scary. Be strong. Have faith. I will be praying for you all.

Thank you SD - I am scared to death, I have been praying hard and trying to keep my mind off of it but it is really hard at times.

My prayers go out to you and your daughter.  May God bless and heal your daughter.  Just remember from the words of "Facing The Giants" movie.  Never give up.  Never backdown.  Never loose faith.

<party>  Thank you for all of your prayers, Shelby's doctor called me this morning and told me that neither one of the spots on her scalp were Melanoma, they are just weird looking moles.  They were both cut out and she will get her stitches out tomorrow.  Thank you for the prayers, I personally believe in the power of prayer.  Have a great day - Lisa

Just wanted to ask for prayers. Our nephew's (the one that helps us so much) wife's water broke this morning. she was riding in the semi delivering wheat w/ him. They say it's going to be a rough delivery. At noon it was looking to be at least 20 hours.
Please put adam, Jessi & the new baby in our prayers & thoughts.

She's still not delivered. At 1cm needs to be at 6cm. Please continue to pray for them.

Talked with Cathy (Red) Friday 7-25, she's scheduled for open heart surgery Monday 7-28 7:00 AM, her time. I will be in Prayer around that time. I would ask any of you concerned to do the same, and ask for Gods Will to be done in her situation. Only great things can be expected if we'll only turn it over to Him!
