I had 4 unforgiven calves last year. They all where huge at birth , lost one and pulled all but one. They were all out of 8 to 10 year old cows and all but one had major structural problems. I would use smooth sailing. One other thing they didnt have alot of hair. I hope this helps .

Outstanding video. If anyone would just take the time to look at the old video tapes with an open mind there is no one in the world would believe what the us people were told.

I have used both bulls and I am going to use about time agian. Use him on big boned cows that have some hair. With bold statement I got color and bad structural problems. I really like my about times they sold very well.

I had two last year. The heifer was a heifer I kept ,but the cow is a cow we have been flushing and is average for her. The steer we sold for I think 1500. I would like to see more hair and be bigger topped. They all calved unassisted 80 to 85 lbs. 

I had four calves out of 5 to 7 year old cows and never pulled a calf out of any of them in the past.One calved buy her self . I pulled the other three ,they were 105 to 125 lbs. not a show steer in the group , all went to the sale barn.

i think this was a good learning experience for a number of people.  i am suprised that a 3000 dollar loss wasnt a big problem for anyone.      second i didnt think the heifer looked like she might only be worth about 2500 at best if she was tame. sorry just my own thoughts.

your black cow should be used only with a bull that has a long neck and plenty hip  a good older bull would be lautner's rambo or a new bull  called real money both should calve easy and be better then gigilo joe
