    With that many head I would say go ahead and cross 20 foot of the list. You need to be looking at something more like 32 feet. I have a 24x8 Elite and at MOST with all our tack we could do 5-6 head.

    Calving ease shorthorn bull?

    I have bred Proud Jazz to first calf Maines, first calf Shorthorns, and some first calf Clubbies. Never had an issue with any of them. Never pulled one, never had one above 80 pounds. Proud star is another good option. I just say Jakes Proud Jazz is worth it because he is proven.

    Jake's Proud Jazz. Hands down the nest calving ease shorthorn bull. Calves should be 70-80 pounds. You also will add thickness and stoutness. His semen is $50 a straw but I would say it is well worth it. Other good options are AR SU LU Tonic and Captain Obvious

    I would suggest Swagger. He will give you some steers with a ton of muscle, bone, and dimension. His heifers still have a very nice femine look without lacking muscle or bone. (thumbsup)

    Heifer Calved This Morning - Need Advice

    HAd this issue with a cow this year. We put her in the chute and the the calf nurse then she was fine after about an hour. I would suggest putting them together and watching them closely for awhile.
