Black velvet dye from Sullivan's says on the label do not shampoo or scrub 5 days prior to dying. But on the website it says make sure hair is clean and dry. If you have used this product what did you do?
We normally put cidrs in and give a gnrh shot we remove them after 7 days and give a Lutalyse shot. We breed anything that comes into heat 12 hours after we see it. Then on day 9 we give a gnrh shot to who ever is not bred and breed the next day. What is your process?

We had to pull a steer out of our feeder pen to replace 1 of our show steers. He has a bunch of manure and mud stuck in his hair especially on his legs and stomach. Any ideas on how to get this out without pulling out all the hair? Thanks for your help.

Could someone post some pictures on how they trim their animals tail from the front of the tailhead down to the bottom with a brief explanation on how long to leave the end where to trim the hair off etc.. if no pictures just try to expain thanks.
Does anyone else out there have this problem? I am starting to think they are sexing all the semen sending the heifer semen to the small buyers and throwing a bull in now and then to keep us trying and saving the bull sexed semen for the bigger semen buyers.
What are the risks of using a TH positive bull? Will it only be a bad thing if the cow is TH and if so what are the chances of a problem if you do? If the cow is PHA is that ok?
