It often rains during the day, then drops well below freezing at night and cattle have no choice but to deal with it. Considering the fact you'll be blowing them dry, i wouldn't stress it one bit.

Calved out a DrWho heifer this past spring. Super motherly, very aggressive for a month but has now relaxed.; some wouldn't like this, but i love the job she did. The predator calf she had is our 2nd best heifer.

I like using big simmi cows, they milk like crazy, and can pop out a rino.

Fullblood Maine Anjou or a Special Delivery heifer, they're crazy relaxed, almost boring. Can't go wrong with a hereford either.

Ya turn them out is what we do, let her be a real heifer. I send them out in our farthest pasture, then they have to walk all the way back to the barn to drink, up and down hills. It forces them to exercise and really freshens them up.

I'm not a geneticist by no means so i could be wrong,  but I'm thinking 2 different sacs, meaning they're not identical twins. Its like this black maine cow i have that will throw a black heatwave one year, then a red heatwave the next year.

Other - Pedigree is really important, ie. has this pedigree combination been successful before? I also look at the conformation of the bull, and see if he meets the criteria for the particular cow that I'll be using him on.

This pretty much sums up my opinion as well, I would pay double every time for sexed bull semen. ZERO use for females out of these bulls, its nice to win some ribbons but they have work to do after that.  If i can't sell them, I ship them.
