    Maternal Perfection might work good. Carpe Diem will give you color & keep the calf functional. MAB would prob work. Cool Water would be pretty cool too

    Thanks. I am on the right start. I am just restarting from scratch practically. I've got some Angus, Commercial Angus, Simi Cross, and Hereford Cross younger cows. Sold all of the steers made clubby heifers, going for the functional female route. All the input out there is appreciated.

    breeding to a hereford bull

    I used a hereford marked bull really a fakeford but his name is Carpe Diem and he threw some stout calves and I have heard others speak of good luck they had with him too. plus my carpe diem calves have a great easy going attitude.
