I am helping a few beginners Is there a chart or pictures to show to beginners on which direction to work hair on heifers? Or possibly a video on internet so they can refer to it if they get confused? Hard working kids, just need reminders. Thanks

Maternal Perfection might work good. Carpe Diem will give you color & keep the calf functional. MAB would prob work. Cool Water would be pretty cool too

What type of fencing would you suggest for my new pens and alleyways? Just figured I would ask around. I am thinking 2 7/8 verticals and top rail and 2 inch  under that. What is eeveryone using or wished they used?

All of my BIM calves were small... I bred a 1800lb Large frame Maine cow to him and the calf was real small and looney as a bat... Other BIM calves I sold before weaning because they were nutty too. Thanks. I am on the right start. I am just restarting from scratch practically. I've got some Angus, Commercial Angus, Simi Cross, and Hereford Cross younger cows. Sold all of the steers made clubby heifers, going for the functional female route. All the input out there is appreciated.

I used a hereford marked bull really a fakeford but his name is Carpe Diem and he threw some stout calves and I have heard others speak of good luck they had with him too. plus my carpe diem calves have a great easy going attitude.
