I bought a 2014 Neckover 14' stock trailer. Pulls great.

I can count on 1 hand the number of times I've used 2 straws in 30+ years of AI'ing. It has always been on a problem breeder. Breed 15 to 18 hours after standing heat, put 1 straw toward left horn and the other toward the right. Sometimes they do get a little twisted on the inside.

Practice as much as you can, "if you don't use it, you'll lose it". I've been doing it for 28 yrs. and I know people that took the classes, but didn't AI about 15 cows a year. They don't know how any more, so they call me. So a lot of practice is needed. Good luck with it.

I've been doing this for 27 yrs. and in my area of Louisiana, there is not enough work to do this fulltime. Great as a side job! Most of the vets here won't do AI or ET. They recommend me, as does the vet school.

Go with a .270 with 130 gr. I've taken pronghorn from 125 yds. to 400 yds. in Wyoming. Outfitter said for elk go with 150 gr. out to about 200 yds. With the 130 gr. use Winchester Power-Point-Plus or Fail Safe ammo. IMHO
