    Hauling a grooming chute

My dad found that if you turn the head tie upside down and lock it in place that it is much easier to wheel around. It give you more leverage. We always just loaded the chute in the trailer fully assembled with the tack box chairs generator and so in packed inside the chute. I couldn't imagine...

what brand of jeans do you wear?

Cruel Girl's are actualythe female version of Cinch ie. made by the same company. For us "easy keepers" they are much more comfortable than say wranglers or rockies. My favorite 'style' is the kelsey relaxed boot cut. Cant beat em.

what brand of jeans do you wear?

I absolutly love my Curel Girls. Can't beat 'em. We have an outlet store for them in Dever. They selll the factory rejects for $10-$20. I will admit...I have also been known to wear Cinch jeans. lol I just like the loose comfy jeans, nothing too constricting.  ;D

How to make the hairy fluffy

Ditto to all of the above posts. However, I don't use a rice root brush. I use the red plastic scrub brushes. For me, they get deeper and are able to stimulate the hair much easier than a rice root brush does. The plastic on these brushes wears down just like rice root and I always know when I...

    Favorite grooming product

Ez comb is not ment for the legs. When I pull the legs, I start with prime time because when you get them pulled, you should still be able to get a comb all the way through the legs with no major pulling. Then after that I cover with tail adhesive to get it set.

    Favorite grooming product

Mine would have to be revive. I love the smell of it, that and pink oil.  <party> If someone were to come out with a perfume in either fragrance I would buy it! lol

    Sunseeker Calves

That was not an issue at all. I wish I had a picture of him wet so I could show you. In that last picture he hadn't been clipped in a month-month and a half so the amount of hair on his lower quarter was unbelieveable. He carried it all the way down.

    Sunseeker Calves

You know, I'm not real sure about the breeding on the dam's side. He did, however, come out of Stacey Kopfman's place in South Dakota. I just emailed Stacey so I will let you know here in the next couple days. ;D

    Sunseeker Calves

Lol trust me...he had his ugly stages, we just never took any pictures of him at those  ;) In the last picture he weighed 1380. There for a while we were really worried that he would go over weight, but thankfully he didn't. here's a couple more pictures of him not all fit and pertied up.  :D I...

    Sunseeker Calves

I really like the way that mine turned out. He didn't have the base width that I would've liked to see or the best set of wheels (popped when he walked) but a very pretty boy and a hair little booger!  O0 <party> The first picture is of him a couple weeks after we brought the calves home. The...

    FIREWATER VS. SHOW SHAKE

I wouldn't say that it makes their muscles look bigger. It just keeps them hydrated. Like, have you ever gone to a three four day show where your cattle won't drink? Since the Refresh has elecrtolytes in it, it helps the muscles retain water keeping them 'fresh' to the touch. I also put it in...

    FIREWATER VS. SHOW SHAKE

Both of these products have electrolytes that help keep the animal feeling fresh for show. I have used the firewater before, didn't like it. The cattle didn't seem to like it. I have never used the show shake but have heard good things about it. I use Refresh and really like the results of it...

    Help need steer charmer

All of the above are great suggestions that have worked wonders in the past for me. Another thing that I like to do is use short jerks instead of one long pull. They don't like the 'jerking' of the head (if you will) and it causes them to step forward. Once he moves even one foot stop jerking...

    Fat Supplement

I use Wheat Germ Oil. It is decently priced and seems to work  real well for me. It really has no odor or taste so they don't even notice that it is in there. I top dress 2 oz per feeding.

    BUCKLE UP!

Please keep this family and their friends in your prayers. It has been a rough week for the entire community. I was actually talking to one of the school officials that has been working there for the better part of 20 years and this is the first student that this school has ever lost in an...
