Febuary Milkman Steer for Sale.... He's a good one!

Febuary Milkman Steer for sale... have posted many pics of him since Febuary and believe he is good enough to compete in the big time.  He is in and halter broke, been clipped, washed and blown but isn't quite show ready.  He is out of a Unlimited Ease cow that is probably a frame score 5 to low...

Some of you are probably tired of my questions and seeing this calf, but don't know enough of the clubby stuff to have a clue.  Milkman x PB Charolais bull calf-  What are your thoughts? Sell him as bull or steer? Have some interest in him both ways, but  not a clue what he is worth.  Please PM...

What bulls to use on these?

Here is a sample of what our cows look like... heavily Charolais influenced.  Have used Milkman, Rocky and Mellow Yellow.  What do you all think will work?  Have thought of My Turn? Headliner? Maybe a black simmi?  Totally overwhelmed in trying to pick at least 2 bulls to use.  Cows are mostly...

Need a name for this calf.... HELP?

So in a household of mostly women we usually don't have troubles coming up with names for calves... but this young man has us stumped!  He is a Milkman out of a Charolais cow named "Miss Betty Boop".  He has that "look at me" attitude and is kind of cocky looking.  Would love your ideas.... Pics...

    County Fair...by Baxter Black

Thought this was a great tribute to what our kids do!  Just wish more people "got it!" County Fairs, Why? by Baxter Black “Most people just don’t get it,” said Ron, bemoaning the urban politicians that continue to whittle away at funding for county fairs and the Ag Extension Service. “It’s all...

    Milkman history on calving....

Sorry for 2 posts in one morning... but used Milkman on some of my better cows and just heard from guy who used him on some of cows he bought from us.  Had an almost 140 pound dead calf last night, which terrifies me but had to pull many others.  What are your experiences?  Anyone induced cows...

Pros and cons?  Any calf pictures I would love to see.  Steer calves would be county to state level show steers and heifers would be same as well...

Wondering if anyone in Oregon, Washington or Idaho is going to Denver and would be willing to bring back a yearling Charolais heifer?  The dates Charolais are in are January 16th and start releasing on the 19th according to exhibitor book.  We are located in Eastern WA.  If you know of anyone or...

Ok, so I know HOW we got this calf but would anyone guess this red roan heifer calf is NOT Shorty at ALL... Input on Rocky x charolais cross calves

For many years our girls have shown steers out of our commercial herd and done pretty well for themselves, however last year we decided to make a leap and try a clubby bull and see what happened.  We were concerned about BW's so started conservative with Rocky and his light birthweight.  The...
