Michigan Expo show will be Sunday April 11, 2010. It is late this year due to Easter being the first Sunday of the month.

We had one Meyer Meyer calf this year, 80 lb. heifer calf unassisted out of a first calf Ali heifer. Nice calf, lots of hair and we will use him again. I will try to get some pics this weekend. She isn't too photogenic, so to date no pics to post.

Had a Meyer Meyer heifer calf yesterday, 80 lbs. out of a Maine cow. Nice stout blocky calf, with good bone and hair. We will get pics after things dry out around here. Thanks for the comments everyone, we like her. Now we are waiting on the next one due this coming week, an Ali daughter to Meyer/Meyer. Really hoping for a bull calf with this one for a possible show steer for the kids. Most of the other cows are due the first of March. Love this time of year!

What is the best sized Donkey to have for breaking calves, Standard or Miniature? Any suggestions or tips would be greatly appreciated. Willie
