Looking to breed a Meyer influenced cow to either the situation, chopping wood, or buckwheat. I have some time but can't decide. Looking to get a good slick shear calf for Houston or SA. Any opinions would greatly be appreciated. I think the bull needs to be powerful.

Thanks for the reply.  I know the pics are not the best.  She is not bad tempered.  The ring in her nose is a weaning ring.  It was the first time i had used one of those.  It seemed to work fairly well in keeping her off her mother.  Iam in Texas and thinking of trying JT, but I am also exited...

Its hard to believe there isnt any one else out there with something positive or negative to say about this heifer.  What are her pros and cons?

This is a Mommas Boy heifer.  She is currently bred to an ALi son.  I would like opinions on her and what i should breed her to.  She is fresh out of the pasture and not been fed any feed besides breeder cubes here and there.  I currently own the following seman: Duff New Edition, 3C Picasso...

Anarchy is a red son ibelieve.  Owned by Todd Kirkland.  He does not promote the bull much, but he is sure enough a good one. 

Is the joker offspring a bit wild?  Have you had any other boardwalk calves?

I like him.  Does he have enough muscle and whats the moms sire?  His back legs look straight but it might be photo.  Does he track well?

Mommas boy will clean up front ends and keep depth of body.  They are late maturing.  They look bad untill they are around 10 months to a year.  After they hit that age they really turn it on and look great.  I almost culled a couple, but after speaking to the owner of the bull i waited them out...

3C Picasso.  Old but good.  Worked for many in the past but seems to be forgotten about.  IMO good bull reasonably priced.

He looks weak topped in my oppinion.  no offense.  from the pics he seems to be a good candidate for zilmax.  pics can be decieving though.  best of luck to you. 

Cant tell anything from pic.  Does he have any sheath?  Too early.  they change alot and after they are weaned you can make a better judgement on if you will show him or not.  then you can post a few pics and get some what of a better idea where to class him.

its like paylean for hogs.  it can effect the joints and stiffen them up.  it will add muscle and burn fat.  i would only use it if i had a weak calf.  i would not use it on heifers.  you should use it before you start to finish the calf.  good luck.

Have the people load the animal up a couple times a month and haul him to different places.  unload him and work with him for a while.  a sort of practice for show.  leave the animal there as you wold for a show for a couple of days.  after a while the animal should get use to the hauling and...
