    breeding quetion

I think you would be very pleased with the calf if you bred her to a maine bull. Like Mercedes Benz or GVC SUH or GVC Maverick bulls like that should clean up the front end pretty good add bone hair and muscle definition!

any opinions on these angus sires?

Well if you want to make showy angus cattle, then the only bull, of the bulls you mentioned that I would consider would be the soo line bull.   I would then add  SAV Bismark he is number 1 in registrations for a reason. He can be used as a heifer bull and the front ends that he stamps on are...

    PB Simmental Bull

Explorer will clean up most that i have seen him used on. He is a spotting gene carrier so if you have a female with the spotting gene you may get color! But he will not give up rib shape, he is also calving ease and will add milk to a pedigree, which a lot of simmental are starting to need!

    Simmental bull to add power...

Upgrade or if you want maternal  traits that will add milk, then the Star Player bull that was mentioned in a earlier post would work very well!

    NLC Mr. Upgrade calves

Well I would say if you have not heard much about his progeny, then you must have your head buried or at least you dont follow performance cattle sales around the country because there have been a lot of his progeny selling all over the place and several sons have been put into A.I. studs. If...

What clubby bull would work with a purebred Simmy?

Hannibal may give u to much leg with a simmy but bulls like Rainmaker or Apocalypse or Breathe Taker are forms of Hannibal diluted down and should work quite well.

Who would you breed this shorthorn to?

The old Payback makes good female's and he worked really well with shorthorns that need style and thickness. The Full Draft bull also would do amazing things with this female. A heifer out of either bull would leave u with endless club calf options. Also  Hannibal bloodlines work well on...

    Trausch Farms Breedersworld Sale

Iowabeef  I agree with that I have seen some good young calves get straight and cripple up as they get older usually these calves are really straight and give some indication that, that will happen and some good calves just haven't seen enought good feed yet. In regards to the Eye Candy calves...

    Releif in Texas?

Our thoughts and prayers are for you guys to get rain, hope everyone can hang in there. I remember how dry it was here in 1988 and 1989 and I dont think it even compares to what you have, I know back then the state of Iowa wasn't having massive wildfires to go with it. May God bless Texas and...
